March 2011
22 Mar 2011: Fixed an incorrect link in the navigation bar: the link to the truncated 600-cell was wrongly pointing to the rectified 600-cell instead.
21 Mar 2011: Added projections of the cantitruncated 16-cell, which is the same as the truncated 24-cell. It is bounded by 24 truncated octahedra and 24 cubes.
11 Mar 2011: Whoops! Fixed a mistake in the web publishing script which caused the high-resolution render of the 120-cell to go missing.
1 Mar 2011:
For the month of March, we introduce another cute member of the 5-cell family, the rectified 5-cell:
This polytope is one of the few semiregular polychora in 4D, bounded by 5 tetrahedra and 5 octahedra.
A few other minor tweaks and improvements were made to existing projection images.

4 Feb 2011:
We begin this month with another member of the 120-cell/600-cell family: the truncated 600-cell. Here's a sneak preview of it:
A high-resolution version of this beauty is available.
Tweaked the rendering parameters of the runcinated 120-cell a little. Also fixed a transposed pair of totals in the cell count table.

31 Jan 2011: Tweaked the edge radius and vertex radii for various projections, to reduce clutter on the images. Added more information on the decomposition of the 24-cell into three 16-cells.
21 Jan 2011: Revised the regular polychora pages, tweaked many of the projection images. Be sure to check out especially the 600-cell projections; they now have a much better color scheme, and the side-view projections have an improved 4D viewpoint.
19 Jan 2011:
We're really on the roll this month! Added yet another uniform polytope: the truncated tesseract. Here's an animation of it:
Archived some news items for this month. We're updating so often that we have to archive more than just once a month now!
17 Jan 2011:
- Added coordinates for all 6 convex regular polychora.
- Also split off the Platonic solids into their own page.
- Added constructions for the Platonic solids and the regular polychora in their respective pages.
- Updated the links page. Added a few more links, fix some stale links.
13 Jan 2011: Rendered a very nice “family portrait” of the six convex regular polychora, the 4D analogues of the Platonic solids. Here's a sneak peek:
A high-resolution render is also available. Enjoy!!
10 Jan 2011: Fixed a broken link on the snub 24-cell page.
9 Jan 2011: Improved the projections of the bitruncated 24-cell by reducing the radius used to render the edges and vertices.
7 Jan 2011:
To celebrate the new year, we introduce the snub 24-cell:
This is an important semi-regular polytope that can be used as an intermediate to derive the 600-cell from the 24-cell.
- Updated the truncated 24-cell page. Improved the transparency of its perspective projection.
- Updated the rectified 600-cell page.
- Updated the bitruncated 24-cell page. Improved the brightness of the perspective projection.
Added a very nice projection of the omnitruncated tesseract:
Also tweaked the edge radius of its other projections so that they look much tidier.
